Award-winning Scandinavian tackle company Westin has added another professional sales agent to its line up to strengthen business in the Czech Republic and Slovakia.

Radek Filip, a well-known face within the fishing scene across Europe as a former World Predator Classic winner, will be representing both the Westin and Kinetic brands and is a long-time user of Westin gear and lures.

Thomas Wæver, export manager at Danish-based parent company Fairpoin, said: “Signing Radek Filip is a scoop for Fairpoint Outdoors, as he holds the full package; he has a proven career in distribution, sales and marketing. He is a skilled journalist and a very respected angler.

“As a long-time member of our Westin Pro Team, Radek has in-depth knowledge of our products and he is the mastermind behind several Westin lures. Radek not only knows the territory in which he will be working, he also knows every single shop in both countries and I’m more than convinced that he will hit the ground running and be a tremendous success from day one. I look forward to working closely with him for years to come and to further build on the international success of both Westin and Kinetic.”

Radek added: “I still remember when I touched my first Westin rod and lure a very long time ago. I knew I was holding something very special. I have caught all my ‘lifetime catches’ with Westin tackle, both during pleasure and tournament fishing.

“Westin is definitely the fishing brand I love the most. It sets a benchmark in terms of the design, quality, style, eco-friendliness and customer service. I feel like a better fisherman when I wear Westin clothing, hold a Westin rod and cast a Westin lure. I would like to give this feeling to as many customers as possible.

“I also have huge respect for Kinetic tackle for its price/quality ratio. It`s an honour for me to be a full-time member of the Westin and Kinetic sales, marketing and product development team. I will use all my skills to help to make the best even better.”

The Fairpoint team is always on the ‘hunt’ for bigger fish and to find ways to either improve its complete line of products or design, build, and deliver cutting edge products.

Living proof of this is the W10 rod, built using only state-of-the-art components. But the firm says this extends throughout its DNA and as it strives to improve and invent at the forefront of technology.
