O. Mustad & Son, the world’s leading hook manufacturer, is looking to fill a valuable marketing role to create lead generation and consumer demand in its EMEA region.

Since 1877 Mustad has been manufacturing hooks and now services over 160 countries globally. Aiming to grow competencies in the European, Middle Eastern, and African markets this member of the organisation will be responsible for creating and executing marketing tactics for the sport segment of the business.

Working alongside the marketing team in the US and closely with the European sales force, the candidate will have an entrepreneurial spirit to work both independently and cross-functionally with internal teams. Responsible for a crucial geographic area, they will execute global brand and marketing strategies for Mustad’s family of brands. Leading marketing campaigns, evaluating performance metrics, and directing external brand ambassadors are key functions of the role.

The team desires a candidate with a strong marketing background and excellent communication skills; fluent English is mandatory and additional central European languages will be of benefit in this role.

The ideal candidate will have solid experience in both consumer brand and B2B marketing. Event management and coordination in collaboration with the regional sales force is a key responsibility for the role of supporting distributor and trade shows.

Having a fundamental knowledge of running content creation via an external network of ambassadors is crucial, preferably experience within the sport fishing industry.

Serving as the internal contact for Mustad’s brands, this team member will also handle trade marketing, industry communication and public relations for EMEA.

This role is fully remote and the ideal candidate will reside in central Europe or the Mediterranean. Some travel, primarily in the European region, will be required.
