Industry leaders on board with trade body

US fishing trade organisation, the American Sportfishing Association, has added more experience and greater perspective to its board with more directors.

Four ASA members have been elected to fill two ‘at-large’ seats and two regional seats on the board of directors.

Jeff Kolodzinski, brand manager, for fishing at Johnson Outdoors and Casey Shedd, president of AFTCO, will fill the ‘at-large’ seats, with Dan Pastore, co-founder, president and CEO of FishUSA taking a spot for the northeast region while Bruce Stanton, vice-president and general manager of PRADCO will cover the south central region.

ASA president Glenn Hughes said: “I congratulate Casey and Bruce on being re-elected to the board of directors and welcome Jeff Kolodzinski and Dan Pastore to their first terms on the board.

“These four seasoned industry professionals and long-standing ASA members contribute decades of expertise to ASA’s governing board. I look forward to working with them and I’d like to extend my gratitude to the entire board for their dedication and service to the industry and the entire recreational fishing community.”

Jeff Kolodzinski has been a member of both the ASA communications and marketing committees since 2018. He is a seven-time member of the US national freshwater team and annually serves the military community through the “Marathon Man” fishing fundraiser.

Dan launched FishUSA from his garage in 2000 and elevated it to the leading national ecommerce retailer of sportfishing tackle.

Starting his second term, Casey has previously served on the board of directors executive committee, as the chair of the membership committee, and helped to establish the newly created sustainability and community committee.

Bruce brings a veteran presence to the ASA board, having previously served from 2007 to 2008 and 2022 to 2024. He also serves on the membership committee and the sustainability and community committee
