Sufix casts ahead with recycled line
Line expert Sufix has launched Recycline monofilament, what it says is the world’s first 100 per cent recycled fishing line.
The product has been two years in development and company has described this ground-breaking mono is “a remarkable step towards a more sustainable tomorrow for fishing.”
Building from what others have left behind, Recycline monofilament is made entirely from Econyl, a regenerated nylon made from reclaimed commercial fishing nets, fish farming waste, industrial waste nylon and post-consumer nylon.
As a part of a fully recyclable product system, these waste materials have been repurposed into a high-quality, dependable monofilament fishing line.
And it’s not just the monofilament that’s sustainable: Recycline monofilament comes on a spool made of repurposed plastic that can be recycled after use, making sure it can be used again and again.
The brand has also taken sustainability one step further – Recycline is packaged in recycled paperboard and uses environmentally friendly water-based colours.
The line comes in 150m and 300m spools and with nine different line ratings.
