The future of fly fishing is now!
The fly fishing industry is being invited to get together next week in the USA to discuss ways to both sustain and grow the trade. TTW finds out more…
Exhibitors at the International Fly Tackle Dealer (IFTD show) back in Salt Lake City in March along with members of the American Fly Fishing Trade Association (AFFTA) will be gathering at the inaugural AFFTA Industry Summit in mid-October.
The landmark event, scheduled for October 16th to 19th at the Francis Marion Hotel in Charleston, South Carolina, will welcome manufacturers, retailers, media and guides to work out how to push the industry forward.
The AFFTA Industry Summit is a thought leadership event comprised of educational seminars covering conservation and trade, networking, fishing and camaraderie. This is not a product display event.
Lucas Bissett, AFFTA’s executive director, said: “As a group, we will discuss the most important issues surrounding fly fishing, compile an AFFTA ‘to do’ list for the future and discuss what the annual industry event will look like. You don’t want to miss this gathering in one of the best destinations in the country!”
