EFTTA Angling Summit to premiere at Berlin show

Europe’s largest fishing exhibition – Angling World Berlin – will present the international B2B summit of the recreational angling industry on November 28th, 2024.

This year, Angling World Berlin takes its next significant strategic step by launching a B2B segment in cooperation with the European Fishing Tackle & Trade Association (EFTTA).

The international recreational angling industry is being invited to the EFTTA Angling Summit on November 28th, at hub27 on the Berlin exhibition grounds.

This will be the first-ever EFTTA Angling Summit, with plans for it to be held annually in the same venue the day before Angling World Berlin, as part of a long-term partnership.

This B2B platform will offer insights and input on key industry topics and promote networking within the trade. The one-day summit is aimed at all interest groups in the sector, including brands, manufacturers, retailers, and distribution companies.

Ross Honey, Angling Spirit founder and EFTTA board member, said: “The launch of the EFTTA Angling Summit at Angling World Berlin marks a significant milestone for the international angling community.

“This event will provide an unparalleled platform for industry leaders to collaborate, share insights, and drive the future of fishing tackle and trade. We are excited about the opportunities this summit presents for fostering innovation and strengthening our network.”

Angling World Berlin project manager, Felix Steinacker, added: “The premiere of the EFTTA Angling Summit as a new B2B congress for the international angling industry is of great significance to us.

“With this strategic step, we are not only putting a stronger focus on the B2B sector and opening a new B2B segment here in Berlin for our exhibitors and the international industry. But this step also underscores the growing internationalisation of our fair.

“We are confident that the EFTTA Angling Summit will offer an excellent platform for exchange and networking on an international stage. Winning EFTTA as a partner for Angling World Berlin makes us proud.”

The summit program includes morning and afternoon sessions with international representatives from politics, associations and the trade at large. It will discuss challenges facing the industry, such as changing market conditions, growing international competition and the impacts of changing environmental conditions. The conference day will conclude with a Dinner & Networking Night in the evening.

Details of the program and the first speakers will be announced in the upcoming weeks.
