UK-based fly tying material manufacturer Semperfli is upping the ante on its Classic Waxed thread, offering a new range of smaller spools promising even better value.

Since launching its Classic Waxed Thread back in 2019, it has generated a massive global following but fly tyers have been demanding smaller spools more suited to them than the bulk spools offered until now.

So the company has unveiled Classic Waxed Thread 110 – allowing it to widen the selection of colours and sizes available to those who don’t need the generously filled bulk spools.

Semperfli director Ann Kitchener said: “They like the idea of a convenient handy range whilst still giving tyers the quality, colours and dependability they are used to.

“Tyers are guaranteed just the same thread but now available in a value spool – more affordable and accessible. With 110 metres (120 yards) per spool there is 10 per cent more thread than competitors and at a lower price of just £2.50, $3.25 (USA) or €2.95.

“The original 220m (240 yd) spools are still available as bulk spools for those who need that bit more! The original bulk spools are the largest commercially available spools on the market for volume fly tyers.

This drive by Semperfli further cements its place as the leading provider of tying materials.”

Semperfli Classic Waxed Thread 110 is available in the existing massive range of colours in 12/0, 8/0 and 6/0.
