Semperfli ties up deal with Tiemco for Japan

Highly respected hook manufacturer and fly fishing brand distributor Tiemco is now offering the full Semperfli range of fly tying materials to the Japanese market.

The move is a major step for the British fly tying materials supplier and ensures its wide range of products will be available to stores across Japan, backed up by the professional and highly knowledgeable specialist Tiemco team.

Semperfli CEO Ann Kitchener told TTW: “We are absolutely delighted to be working with Tiemco. It is very exciting to launch with this highly respected company and to expand our operations with them.

“We see such enthusiasm for fly tying in Japan in this exciting, growing market and a real appetite for our materials. Japanese store owners and tyers have great talent and recognise quality. They want to work with the very best products.

“As our companies share a vision of innovation in fly tying and, importantly, both have a keen and expert eye for quality with the very best customer service, this means together we can offer Japanese tyers just what they are looking for. We are looking forward to a long and successful working relationship together.”

Tiemco added: “Tiemco is a company that has a history in the fishing business for more than a half century as it is famous with Japanese-made high quality fly fishing hooks and unique and reliable fly tying tools among the fly anglers all over the world.

“We are sure that there will be a great synergy that Semperfli’s quality tying material will be tied on Tiemco hooks with Tiemco tools. Both companies are so excited about it!”

Together Semperfli and Tiemco are confident that stores and fly tyers in Japan are going to be well serviced with this new distribution agreement and the growth of this is going to be world-class.
