Fairpoint Outdoors A/S, which owns the Westin and Kinetic fishing brands, has added no fewer than three key industry experts to its management team group.

Thomas Sanotra, previously with Svendsen Sport, has been appointed as COO, Robert Peetz becomes purchase manager while Robert Valkeneer has been named as senior product manager.

All three boast a long and impressive track record in the tackle industry, which Fairpoint says will benefit the company in its future growth.

CEO Jens Buhl Jorgensen explained: “It has been a strategy of ours to acquire skilled personal in these key fields.

“When a business grows at a rate, such as Fairpoint has done the past few years, it is important that employees and their skillsets grow along with the company.

“The trio are all renowned profiles in the industry, which will strengthen our already solid team. With more than half a century of combined experience in the tackle industry, it is no secret I expect the guys to hit the ground running.”

The COO role for Thomas, who spent more than a decade at Fairpoint earlier in his career, will include overall responsibility for purchase, product development and marketing.

Thomas Eldor Petersen, CSO Westin, added: “In fact, Thomas was one of the architects behind the rebranding of Westin back in the early 2000s, so it is no coincidence we chose him for this central role.”

Thomas said: “I’m extremely happy to be back with Fairpoint and help with its ambitious goals for Westin and Kinetic, in and outside Scandinavia.

“The team has done a great job the past three years I have been away, which will make it easier to hit the ground running. Fairpoint’s employees are extremely dedicated and loyal. Most of them have been with the company for many years, thus giving them a keen mutual understanding for the overall vision and goals and how to achieve them. I’m very much looking forward to being a part of that journey with this fantastic company.

Robert Peetz, who will take on the lead in the purchase department, has a 25-year track record within the tackle industry covering everything from product development to planning and sourcing.

He revealed: “I am super excited to join the skilled team. I’m planning to put my experience to good use, accelerating the continuous growth of our brands Westin and Kinetic.”

Meanwhile, Robert Valkeneer brings years of experience from numerous brands to the table and is seen as a welcome addition to the developing team.

He commented: “Fairpoint Outdoors is a very ambitious company. Being able to be part of this fills me with a lot of enthusiasm. A great company with a lot of ambitions and a fantastic team to work with will make this a fantastic new adventure for me.”
