Irish Fly Fair up for sale

What is said to be the best fly fishing show in Ireland, the Irish Fly Fair, which takes place each November, has been put for sale.
Organiser Stevie Munn said the decision had been taken “due to ongoing family pressures and continued illness” and he is hopeful he will find someone to take on the event, which was scheduled for November 14th and 15th at The Killyhevlin Hotel, directly overlooking scenic and famous Lough Erne in County Fermanagh.
Over the years, the event has built a reputation for attracting the best international fly dressers and champion fly casters who showcase their skills through demonstrations and advice.
The fair also features a series of talks and seminars from expert anglers on a wide range of interesting angling-related topics and of course, a massive selection of trade stands selling everything the fly angler and fly dresser needs. There are even fly dressing and fun fly casting competitions.
Stevie said: “We have grown it over the years to the success it has become. We have been able to gather perhaps the largest collection of pro fly tiers ever seen in an annual event that people from all over the fishing world love and look forward to and travel to each year.
“The show and brand name are already well established. The real value is in that you have you have already got the IFF on the international fly-fishing calendar. If anyone would be interested in taking over, please email me at [email protected].”
