German tackle show shares experience with Garmin

Europe’s leading angling show – ANGELWELT – turned from event to event partner for the Garmin 360° Experience in April, with a focus on practical product testing, technical workshops and extensive networking.
Over five days of intensive practical testing on the water at the 360° Teamgeist Fusion House on Lake Wolzig in south-east Berlin, media professionals, content creators and specialist retailers came together to test new Garmin products under real-world conditions and to network.
The partnership underscores ANGELWELT’s commitment to supporting the industry beyond the trade show period in November and to fostering exchange throughout the year.
Head of ANGELWELT, Felix Steinacker, said: “ANGELWELT is the place to be for the international angling scene. Through this partnership, we are supporting a strong platform that brings the community together, strengthens direct exchange and provides new impetus for the sport of angling.”
While Jan Volk, head of sales & support Marine D-A-CH, Garmin Deutschland, added: “With Garmin as the organiser, glorious sunshine and a fantastic atmosphere – featuring seven boats and kayaks – our 360° event on the water was a truly memorable experience, supported by partners such as ANGELWELT, Pantenius and YETI.
“Over five action-packed days, we succeeded in giving our Garmin Fishing Team, key industry influencers and our retail partners the chance to experience the full range of our product portfolio exactly where it belongs – right on the water and in real-world conditions.”
Instead of traditional product presentations, the exclusive event focused primarily on hands-on experiences: in rotating technical sessions, content creators and media professionals tested the Garmin Marine ecosystem on a total of seven boats.
The focus was on the new 360-degree fishfinder alongside the trolling motors, kayak motor, LiveScope technology, radars, the Garmin MOB system and the new Garmin Quatix 8 Pro Marine smartwatch.
The programme was complemented by technical Q&As, as well as specialist presentations by fisheries scientist Prof. Dr Robert Arlinghaus and industry expert Thorsten Trojan.
Following its record-breaking 2025 edition, ANGELWELT continues its successful trajectory from November 27th to 29th as it expands to four halls for the first time at the Berlin Exhibition Grounds as part of OutVenture Berlin. The growing importance of fishing boats, engines and boat technology is also reflected in ANGELBOOT. As Europe’s largest exhibition for fishing boats, engines and accessories, it is once again one of the show’s strongest thematic areas.
