Custom Rod Building Show going from strength to strength

The International Custom Rod Building Exposition – the world’s only large-scale consumer and trade event for custom rod building – is to return next month and promises to be bigger than ever.

The 24th annual event, once again being staged at the MC Benton Convention Center in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, on February 28th and March 1st, 2026, will boast a 30 per cent expansion in floor space plus new dedicated Learning Center areas, positioning the show for record attendance.

Known throughout the industry simply as the “EXPO,” the International Custom Rod Building Exposition is the world’s only large-scale consumer and trade event dedicated exclusively to this craft.

Open to the general public, the event attracts builders, manufacturers, suppliers, and enthusiasts from around the globe.

Originally launched in 2004 as the National Rod Builders Show, the event quickly grew into an international destination. Since being rebranded in 2006, attendance has consistently ranged between 2,000 and 2,500 participants annually.

Now under the ownership of ThreadCentral LLC, the EXPO enters a new chapter focused on preserving its legacy while expanding educational and hands-on opportunities for attendees.

In addition to exhibitor displays and on-site product sales, attendees will enjoy live demonstrations, free educational seminars, and immersive hands-on learning experiences included with admission. Saturday evening will also feature the traditional RodMaker Reception for magazine subscribers.

Daily admission is $15, with a two-day pass available for $25. Ticket sales are available online or at the door, with event hours from 8am to 5pm on both days.
