Mark Bolman, CEO at Ball And Buck, said: “A few years back we decided we needed to develop the perfect all-around freshwater fishing rod/reel combo for those looking for the best.

“With that in mind, we approached the two brands that represent the best in the business – Abel Reels and Scott Rods. Working with Jim, an absolute expert in the rod building area, we developed the first-ever collaboration to bear the Scott Fly Rods name.

“Just down the road in Montrose, Colorado we partnered with Jeff at Abel Reels, who hand-picked a reel that was perfectly suited to the 5-wt Centric rod.

“What we've ended up with is the perfect rod/reel combination that blends performance and versatility. Simply put, there isn’t a freshwater river in America where you can't crush trout on this setup.”

Jeff Paterson, director of sales at Abel Reels, added: “Our friendship and collaborative partnership with Ball and Buck goes back over 10 years together.

“Our shared passion with Mark and his team offering high quality, American-made unique products originally brought us together back then, and continues to fuel our creative collaborative projects to this day.

“During that time we’ve introduced several Abel products with an always cool Ball and Buck custom aspect to each of them along with the field dependability you'd expect from each of our brands.

“It's been a bunch of fun recently working with Mark again to develop the stealth camo edition reel as another addition to our storied portfolio, and this time incorporating another outstanding brand at Scott Fly Rods.”
