Another reel experience from Okuma
Taiwanese tackle giant Okuma – distributed around the world – has added another precision experience for anglers through its latest X-Series spinning reels.
Crafted with a lightweight aluminium for body for unparalleled performance and durability, the X-Series is said to combine cutting-edge technology, unmatched strength and a feather-light design.
There’s a C40X carbon-injected roto and sideplate, a CNC precision cut, anodised AL70 aluminium drive gear and spool shaft to aid weight reduction plus multi-disk Carbonite drag washers.
Indeed, Okuma says the series delivers 24lb of maximum drag for extreme stopping power.
The reels also boast Hydro Block II technology to keep the internals free from water while the lack of an on/off anti-reverse selector aids this further.
In addition, it features 10BB + 1 RB stainless steel bearings, a reversible screw-in, machined aluminium handle design and a lightweight 1oz spool.
The X-Series is available in three sizes – 2500, 3000 and 4000 – and, thanks to its 6.2:1 gear ratio it also offers versatility and tournament-grade performance.
