Fishing sinker business Water Gremlin is winding down after 75 years and selling its assets, including all intellectual property, inventory and related manufacturing equipment.

For almost 75 years, under the iconic Water Gremlin name, the US company has manufactured, marketed and sold fishing sinkers directly to retailers and through distribution.

The desired wind-down and sale of the business has been caused by the firm’s desire to free up plant floor space and human capital resources, as both are needed for its other primary business unit.

This is a unique opportunity to acquire an iconic brand and “be in business overnight,” according to asset management services firm HyperAMS.

Water Gremlin has been selling to top customers for years and available assets include ready-to-ship finished goods, customer list, trademarks, web domain, base sinker work-in process, packaging and semi-automated equipment and more.
