Tim shows his worth with top job

The Worth Company, a family-owned and operated manufacturer specialising in fishing tackle components, has named Tim Worth as the corporation’s president.

Established in 1942, Tim becomes the fourth generation of the family to head the company. As an American manufacturer, The Worth Company manufactures hundreds of millions of metal component parts annually for a variety of industries including the fishing tackle, automotive, and fastener industries.

Started by Joseph Worth, a Canadian immigrant with a passion for fly fishing, The Worth Company has evolved over the past 80 years to become the predominant components manufacturer to the tackle industry and the go-to supplier of precision split and key rings for the automotive and fastener industries, with over 3,100 customers located all around the world.

Tim, an avid outdoorsman and angler, brings 13 years of manufacturing and leadership experience to the position. Along with vice-president Kris Crass, who has proven to be an integral part of the business’ family, they have positioned the company for continued success, as it remains a worldwide leader in tackle component manufacturing.

Tim explained: “I’m extremely fortunate and proud to have the opportunity to lead our team and our company. Through our manufacturing, our mission is to produce pride, by working together for each other. For three generations we have done just that and I look forward to continuing that tradition.

“Our emphasis as a company is to help our customers build and grow their business while supporting our local community and environmental initiatives. We do that by providing precise high-quality components and world class customer service.

“We also accomplish this by prioritising the health and strength of our community and environment. I look forward to working with our amazing team, partners and community leaders to expand upon these undertakings for years to come.”
