Relix confirms closer ties with Sea Guide

Indonesian tackle expert Relix Nusantara has agreed a closer working relationship with Chinese manufacturer Sea Guide as it looks to develop more fishing rods.

The agreement follows two visits this year to the factory in Weihai by Relix boss Rivai Susanto and his team to discuss plans to work together on the development of more fishing rods.

It has been seven years since Relix Nusantara began using Sea Guides on its best-selling Capung casting rod series and it has confirmed minimal issues from customers, prompting it to agree closer ties.

The company currently has several rod series in its range, including

Gasak and Ibliz casting rods, Pessut pond fishing rods and the Pasir Selatan surfcasting models.

Rivai said: “We are really pleased and exciting about this collaboration. Alongside good blanks, reel seat and guides are important parts that define a rod’s overall quality.

“When we visited the Sea Guide factory we discussed and spent time with its team, helping us understand more about the variety of guides on offer. This is important for new rod development and Sea Guide offers parts from economy all the way to top-level ranges. “It’s Relix Nusantara’s commitment to provide anglers with good value and good quality products.”

In addition, Relix Nusantara will also distribute Sea Guide products, including reel seats, guides and carbon tubes in Indonesia.
