Power-Pole motors on as anglers honour its Move ZR

Having already won an award at ICAST 2023 for its Move ZR trolling motor, Power-Pole has now gone one better by scooping the event’s Anglers’ Choice Award, voted for by anglers themselves.

Although awards at ICAST are voted on by the trade, after the event the organisers, the American Sportfishing Association, invite consumers to decide on their own favourite from the winners from the New Product Showcase Best of Category votes back in July.

With the results now in, the second annual Anglers’ Choice Award has gone to Power-Pole’s new trolling motor - the Move ZR.

Robert Shamblin, vice-president, sales and marketing,for Power-Pole, said: “We won the Best of Category award at ICAST for Best Motorised Boating Accessory but this is extra special. We couldn't be more excited.”

ICAST draws thousands of tackle buyers and media members each July to the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida for the world’s largest sportfishing trade show. It’s where hundreds of manufacturers debut tackle, gear, accessories and apparel in the highly anticipated New Product Showcase.<

The dedicated display area on the show floor showcases hundreds of the best of the best in new fishing product innovation; all competing against each other to take home one of 37 Best of Category trophies along with the overall Best Of Show honour. The Power-Pole Move ZR was this year’s winner in the Best Motorised Boating Accessory category.

Blake Swango, ASA’s vice-president for trade show and membership, added: “The New Product Showcase is the recreational fishing industry's equivalent of the Oscars.

“Because ICAST is a trade event and not open to the public, we decided to launch the Anglers’ Choice Award, giving everyone with a passion for fishing a chance to join in the excitement that defines ICAST.

“It’s my pleasure to congratulate Power-Pole's Move ZR for winning the second annual Anglers’ Choice Award.”
